iRFR/aRFR Apps
The most straightforward way to connect to an ETC Eos-family console from an iOS or Android device is using ETC's iRFR (for iOS) and aRFR (for Android) apps.
Please follow the instructions provided by ETC in this PDF file.
If you are connecting via a network set up/provided by KSL, please note the following caveats to the ETC documentation:
- Topology (page 1):
- Your console should already be connected and tested over the network, when initially installed by KSL. You do not need to connect your console to any additional network.
- DHCP (page 2):
- Your console is likely not configured to provide DHCP services to devices connected to your network.
- If you have a wireless router in your system, the wireless router will provide your device with an IP address.
- If you have a wireless access point in your system, you will need to set a static IP address on your device.
- Please see Do I have a Wireless Router or a Wireless AP? and Setting a Static IP Address for additional information.
- Configuring Your Wireless Router or Access Point (page 2):
- Your network was fully configured when installed by KSL, no additional configuration is required.
- Bringing the Network Online (page 3):
- Your network was fully configured and brought online when installed by KSL, no additional configuration is required.
- Connecting Your Wireless Device (page 4):
- Your device may or may not (by default) get an IP address over DHCP. Please see the DHCP section above.
- Please proceed with Connecting with the iRFR or aRFR Application beginning on page 3.
