Wireless AP/Router Use in Lighting/Sound Systems
Notice to IT/Sysadmin Staff
Any wireless router or access point installed with your lighting/sound system is not connected to the internet or to any facility networks. The lighting and/or sound network(s) are isolated networks, and should not impact any operation of your facility networks and wireless.

Your KSL-installed lighting or sound system may include a wireless router or access point to allow for wireless control from phone and tablet apps.
Typical Connection Information
Depending on what kind of system(s) you have installed, you may have one or more of the following networks available. These are the typically-used network names and passwords.

Connection information for ETC Lighting networks
This information applies solely to lighting networks with a Netgear WAX610 AP provided by ETC (Electronic Theatre Controls).

IP Addresses
If you have a wireless router, you do not need to manually set an IP address on any devices, one will automatically be assigned to you.
If you have a wireless AP, you will need to manually set a Static IP address on any tablets or other wireless devices you wish to connect to the system. Please see Setting a Static IP Address
Do I have a wireless router or a wireless AP?
Depending on your specific install situation, you may have either a wireless router, or one or more wireless access points (APs). You can tell whether you have a wireless router or a wireless AP based on its model and appearance.
The wireless router KSL typically uses is a TP-Link AX1800. It is a black rectangle, has 4 visible antennas, and has 6 green LEDs on the front of the unit. More info
The wireless AP KSL typically uses is a TP-Link EAP610. It is a white circle with no visible antennas, and has one blue/orange/white LED on the flat surface of the unit. More info
If you have a lighting network provided solely by ETC (Electronic Theatre Controls), you may have a Netgear WAX610 access point. It is a white square with the NETGEAR logo, and four blue/orange/white LEDs on the flat surface of the unit.
